Hartlepool United club president Jeff Stelling believes Pools should be considered among next season's potential National League title contenders.
Stelling, who is best know for his almost 30-year stint hosting the hugely popular Sky Sports show Gillette Soccer Saturday, returned to his role as president after Landon Smith completed his takeover of the club from controversial former owner Raj Singh on New Year's Eve.
The broadcaster and presenter, who is renowned for his passionate support of his hometown club, resigned from his position as president, a role he had held since 2015, in May last year in protest at Singh's handling of takeover negotiations.
