Hartlepool United head coach Pete Wild was full of praise for Will Harris after the striker scored for the fourth time in seven National League appearances in midweek.

Although Pools were ultimately condemned to their first defeat in three league matches by play-off chasing AFC Fylde, another goal for Harris was a big positive for the new boss.

Indeed, the 26-year-old looks like a player transformed since Wild replaced head coach Lee Clark at the beginning of this month, impressing both in and out of possession.

Big things were expected of Harris, who arrived as one of the club's marquee summer signings following a blistering campaign with Halifax Town last term.
