Is Hartlepool United's season still salvageable?

Well, at least that's the case for embattled Hartlepool United, who are on the hunt for another new head coach following Lee Clark's explosive resignation on Saturday.

After Pools, who were touted as possible National League title contenders ahead of the new campaign, were condemned to their sixth defeat in seven matches by newly-promoted Worthing on Saturday, Clark told the media he was stepping down after only four months in charge.

Pools fans have now been left with an all-too-familiar sinking feeling, with a season that promised so much at risk of being over before it ever even really got going.
