Hartlepool United ambassador Savannah Marshall has backed the "humble" Landon Smith to continue to thrive at Victoria Park.
Marshall, a former two-weight boxing world champion who was born and raised in Hartlepool, was appointed to an ambassadorial role in February in the wake of Smith's takeover.
Marshall's appointment was part of a concerted effort by the American businessman and investor, who is the co-founder of real estate company Tailwind Group, to re-engage and reconnect with a fanbase that had become alarming fractured during the turbulent final years of controversial former owner Raj Singh's tumultuous tenure.
