New Hartlepool United head coach Pete Wild admits "there's a lot to do" after his side were beaten 1-0 by strugglers Tamworth on Saturday.

Despite a renewed sense of hope and optimism in the wake of Wild's appointment on Thursday, Pools were unable to end their losing run at home to the Lambs, slipping to their sixth successive defeat.

Wild, who arrives with an impressive track record in the National League having led Halifax Town to two top seven finishes in three seasons during a successful stint in West Yorkshire, will need to use all of his experience if he's to turn his new side's faltering fortunes around.
