Hartlepool United midfielder Nathan Sheron was full of praise for his side's "brilliant" win over League Two Fleetwood Town.
Sheron, who spent five years with Fleetwood at the beginning of his career, played the full 90 minutes as Pools rounded off a positive pre-season campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Matt Lawlor's side, who finished 15th in League Two last term.
Although there wasn't an absolute abundance of quality on show at Victoria Park, Pools shaded large parts of the contest and were probably good value for the victory thanks to a 90th minute winner from Corey McKeown, one of 14 new recruits this summer.
