Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark has vowed to "work as hard as I can" to lead Pools to success next season.
Clark, who was appointed as the club's new head coach in May, is hoping to succeed where almost all of his more recent predecessors have failed as bids to inspire Pools to promotion back to the Football League.
Since winning promotion to League One at the end of the 2006/07 season, long-suffering Pools fans have been served up far more footballing famine than feast.
Indeed, in the last 19 seasons Pools have been relegated three times while the club seem to have lurched from crisis to crisis under several contentious owners.
