Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark has provided fitness updates on Luke Charman, Jack Nolan and Owen Hampson.

Charman, who has scored seven goals in 66 games for Pools, was seen leaving Victoria Park on crutches last month following a collision with Grimsby Town goalkeeper Christy Pym.

At the time, Pools were fearing the worst for the versatile attacker but Clark was more upbeat following Saturday's impressive 1-0 pre-season win over League Two Fleetwood Town, revealing Charman was set to undergo a scan on Monday to determine the extent of his injury.

Whatever the case, the 28-year-old is likely to be missing for the opening weeks of the new campaign, with Pools gearing up for the visit of relegated Barrow on Saturday as Clark's side bid to make a winning start to the 2026/27 season.
