Landon Smith is loving life as Hartlepool United owner.

The American businessman and investor, who is the co-founder of real estate company Tailwind Group, is gearing up for his first full season as the club's owner having completed his takeover of Pools from the controversial Raj Singh on New Year's Eve.

A lot has changed since then, almost all of it seemingly for the better.

When he first took the reins, Smith inherited a club with a fractured fanbase that was at increasing risk of becoming stranded in the footballing doldrums having been relegated from the Football League for just the second time in its entire history in 2023.
