Hartlepool United are set to entertain Premier League 2 opposition from Middlesbrough, Everton, Newcastle United and Leeds United having been drawn in Group C of the National League Cup.
National League teams Boreham Wood, Solihull Moors and Tamworth have also been drawn in Group C alongside Pools, although Lee Clark's side are not set to take on any of their fellow fifth division opponents.
The top two teams from Group C will progress to the quarter-finals, with the knockout stages scheduled to take place between January and March next year.
Pools begin their campaign with the visit of Middlesbrough's Premier League 2 side - in effect, an under-21 team - next Tuesday the 11th as part of the club's 'family fun day', with a range of activities and entertainment planned ahead of a 3pm kick-off.
