Barrow expert backs Bluebirds to 'embrace' Hartlepool United test

"There is an opportunity there for Barrow and I think they'll just go there and embrace it. I don't think they'll be too disappointed if they don't go and take all three points, they know that it isn't a game that's going to define their season."

Barrow expert Adam Johnson has backed the Bluebirds to "embrace" the challenge ahead of Saturday's visit to Hartlepool United.

Johnson, who covers and commentates on Barrow for BBC Radio Sport Cumbria, believes Adam Murray's side will be relishing the challenge as they prepare for a testing trip to Victoria Park on the opening day of the new National League season.

Having been relegated from League Two following a dismal campaign that saw them get through a staggering five different managers, the Bluebirds have undergone a summer rebuild and optimism has been steadily restored to the Cumbrian outfit.
