Adam Clayton vows to 'leave no stone unturned' ahead of Hartlepool United's trip to Scunthorpe United

Just nine games into the National League season, Pools, who were touted as possible title contenders ahead of the campaign, are on the hunt for a new head coach following Lee Clark's dramatic resignation last week.

Clark, who was only appointed in May, announced his shock decision to step down in the immediate aftermath of Saturday's 3-1 loss at home to newly-promoted Worthing, his side's sixth defeat in seven games.

Now, Pools are under pressure to pick up the pieces of a season that seemed to promise so much but, so far at least, has delivered precious little.
