Hartlepool United expert Rob Law has been reflecting on his time banned from Victoria Park under hugely controversial former owner Raj Singh.

Law, who is one of the most recognisable and well-respected broadcasters in the North East thanks in large part to his long association with BBC Radio Tees, spent around eight months banned from Victoria Park as well as the club's training ground, Maiden Castle, in the wake of a dispute with Singh.

Law was banned after Singh took issue with an interview BBC Radio Tees broadcast with football finance expert Kieran Maguire, co-host of the podcast The Price of Football, in which he discussed the club's finances as well as a possible sale.

In a remarkable statement, Singh accused BBC Tees - as well as the Hartlepool Mail - of publishing material that he alleged was "factually incorrect and defamatory without giving the club the opportunity to respond to or comment on the content".
